Another food crossed off the list!! That’s right, I sampled alligator last night. It may have been deep-fried in some kind of spicy batter, but it was alligator nonetheless.

My sister is in town this weekend and we met up with some friends at Fat Tuesdays. It wasn’t too crazy because the weather outside was crazy (there is still snow piles on the ground today!) but it was still busy and a great people watching opportunity. Snow White, texting while busting a move on the dance floor and bumping into people. Wolverine, using his long claws to tickle an elmo with a giant red head and red shorts. Two people in big cardboard costumes that were “two peas in an Ipod.” Two flowing, sparkly, homemade costumes that turned out the be the Martians from sesame street (yip, yip, uh huh, uh huh).

We just sat back and had some wine and appetizers. One of our friends (who was dressed as a tampon) ordered alligator and was happy to share. It tasted fine, just like chicken but a bit chewier.

Happy Halloween! I am dressing up right now to go to out – and i will share pictures of our homemade costumes tomorrow!
